Restaurant FAQ
Questions restaurant owners ask before joining NYΛMTYME.
Clear answers about cost, control, menu participation, redemption, PIN and QR verification, and why NYΛMTYME is not a POS replacement.
What is NyamTyme?
NyamTyme is a prepaid Meal Pass platform that helps local customers discover eligible restaurant meals and redeem them through NyamTyme. It is built for restaurant customer growth, not POS replacement.
Is there a cost to join NyamTyme?
There is no cost to join or create your restaurant profile on the platform. Restaurants can review the opportunity before deciding what menu items to participate with.
Is there a monthly fee to stay on the platform?
There is no monthly platform fee to stay listed. NyamTyme is designed to be low-risk for restaurant partners while terms remain unchanged.
How do restaurants make money with NyamTyme?
Customers purchase NyamTyme Meal Passes, then redeem eligible meals. Verified redemptions create payout records according to the restaurant agreement, category, and verified activity.
Do we have to discount our full menu?
No. NyamTyme is not a coupon site and does not require your full menu. Restaurants choose selected eligible items that make operational and financial sense.
Who chooses which menu items are available?
The restaurant chooses the menu items it wants to submit. NyamTyme admin review helps confirm category fit, clarity, and customer experience before items go live.
Can we limit how many redemptions are available per day?
Yes. Restaurants can set daily quantity limits so participation stays manageable for the kitchen and staff.
Can we choose which days and times items are available?
Yes. Restaurants can use availability controls and time windows to fit slower periods, specific service hours, or operational capacity.
How does the Fine / Dine / Wine category system work?
Fine, Dine, and Wine help match menu value to customer expectations. The category is about item value and experience, not judging the restaurant.
How do customers redeem meals?
Customers select an eligible NyamTyme item and start redemption in their account. The restaurant verifies the PIN/code before serving the item when verification is required.
What is the PIN and QR verification process?
PIN and QR code verification give staff a simple way to confirm that a redemption is active and valid. Staff can verify by entering the PIN code or scanning the QR code before serving when verification is required.
What happens after a customer redeems?
The redemption is recorded in NyamTyme. Verified redemptions can appear in restaurant activity and payout records where available.
How are restaurants reviewed before going live?
NyamTyme reviews profile details and menu items for clarity, category fit, and customer experience. Admin may approve, reject, or request edits.
Can NyamTyme replace our POS?
No. NyamTyme is not a POS replacement. Restaurants should continue using their existing POS and internal systems.
Does NyamTyme require POS integration?
No POS integration is required for the basic partner flow. NyamTyme provides its own membership, menu participation, and redemption tracking tools.
Can we update our menu later?
Yes. Restaurants can update eligible items, descriptions, images, quantity limits, and availability. Some updates may require admin review.
Can we pause or remove items?
Yes. Restaurants stay in control and can pause, remove, or update participating items as needed.
Can we leave the platform?
Restaurants may request removal or pause participation according to the applicable partnership terms.
